What it controls
Specifies what triggers the automatic engagement of the downhill speed control in the automatic variant. On pedal release, the function engages as soon as the driver lifts off the accelerator on a descent and the vehicle starts to accelerate; other types wait for a speed threshold or for a brake pedal touch. The pedal-release behaviour is the most intuitive for drivers used to Scania vehicles, while a brake-pedal engagement suits drivers coming from other makes. The parameter only matters when the DHSC variant includes Auto; with the manual or offset variants it has no effect but is still stored in the specification.
