What is the Scania FPC specification?
FPC stands for Functional Product Characteristics. Every Scania vehicle is built against a list of them: each characteristic (axle distance, gearbox type, cab type, power take-off…) has a set of factory variants, and the vehicle carries exactly one variant per characteristic. SDP3 shows this list as the vehicle specification, and the same list travels inside the SOPS file. This site publishes the names and variant descriptions; the codes themselves are decoded by Scania SOPS Editor when you open a SOPS file, so you can check what a used chassis was delivered with before touching a parameter.
FPC characteristics are not SOPS parameters: the specification says what was ordered, the SOPS parameters say how each control unit is configured. Where a characteristic and a parameter share a name, the two pages link to each other.
