Exhaust brake button behaviour

SOPS parameter ExhBrakeButton · seen in 16 SOPS files

What it controls

Defines what the exhaust brake button on the dashboard does. In the DHSC setting the button engages the downhill speed control together with the exhaust brake, so the driver sets a descent speed and the coordinator holds it with the auxiliary brakes; in the Always setting the button simply switches the exhaust brake on and off regardless of speed control. Drivers moving between vehicles of different specification often report that “the exhaust brake button does something different” — this parameter is the reason. It is related to the DHSC variant and offset parameters in the coordinator; keep them consistent so the button behaviour matches the cluster menu.
