What it controls
Enables the eco-roll function, which opens the driveline (neutral in the automated gearbox) on slight descents so the vehicle rolls freely instead of being braked by the engine. It saves fuel on undulating motorways and can be allowed on cruise control only, on cruise control and accelerator pedal, or disabled. Drivers who feel the vehicle “gaining speed by itself” on descents are experiencing eco-roll; the downhill speed control offset defines when the auxiliary brakes take over. Vehicles used with PTO or split-shaft installations, or on routes with many short steep descents, are often specified without eco-roll. Retarder control block (SRC) copy of the setting.
