Performance mode at start-up

SOPS parameter PerfModeStartup · seen in 36 SOPS files

What it controls

Sets which driving performance mode the vehicle selects when the ignition is switched on. Scania offers Economy, Standard and Power modes that change the gear-shift strategy, the engine response and, on some vehicles, the available torque; fleets that want to control fuel consumption start every trip in Economy, while operators with heavy haulage or demanding routes prefer Standard or Power. The Last Set option remembers what the driver chose on the previous trip. This parameter is the core of the performance-mode activation service: on vehicles delivered without the mode selector, activating the modes in the SOPS file and setting a sensible start-up mode is what makes the selector appear in the cluster.
