Raised idle speed — neutral condition
SOPS parameter RAISED_IDLE_SPEED_NEUTRAL_COND · seen in 70 SOPS files
What it controls
Sets whether the gearbox must be in neutral for the raised idle function to be active. Stationary bodies (cranes, hook-lifts, compressors) normally keep this condition so the vehicle cannot creep with the engine held at working speed; mobile applications that need a constant engine speed while driving (some spreaders or line-marking vehicles) remove it and use engine speed control instead. When the condition is With and the driver selects a gear, the engine returns to normal idle immediately. If a customer reports that the raised idle “does not work”, check this parameter and the parking-brake condition before checking the bodywork input.
