Raised idle speed — set point

SOPS parameter RAISED_IDLE_SPEED_VALUE · seen in 69 SOPS files

What it controls

Engine speed in rpm that the engine holds when the raised idle function is activated from the bodywork interface, for example while a crane, a compressor or a refrigeration unit is driven by the PTO. Standard idle is too low for many hydraulic pumps to deliver their rated flow; a raised idle of 800–1100 rpm gives the pump the speed it needs without the operator touching the accelerator. The value must sit inside the engine-speed windows of the PTO (above the engagement minimum, below the disengagement maximum) or the PTO will cut out as soon as the raised idle kicks in. It is set together with the neutral and parking-brake conditions of the raised idle function.

<rpm>
Target engine speed while raised idle is active (typical 700–1200).

Frequently asked

The raised idle value is above PTO_EG1_DEACT_ABOVE_ENGINE_SPEED. Either lower the raised idle or raise the PTO cut-out.
