Kickdown level

SOPS parameter KickdownLevel · seen in 24 SOPS files

What it controls

Accelerator pedal position, in percent, at which the coordinator recognises a kickdown request. Values around 98–101 % correspond to the mechanical end stop of the pedal, so the driver has to press through the resistance point; lower values (78–82 %) make the kickdown trigger earlier in the pedal travel, which some drivers of lightly loaded vehicles prefer but which also produces unintended downshifts. The value is calibrated per pedal and vehicle, so copy it carefully when reconfiguring after a coordinator replacement. It only has an effect when the kickdown function is enabled in the gearbox management system.
