How to Activate Scania PTO EG1 on COO7 and OPC5 – Step-by-Step Guide

This guide explains how to activate the PTO EG1 on Scania vehicles using COO7 and OPC5 by editing the SOPS file. The configuration is done via SDP3 in Conversion mode together with your Scania SOPS Editor, adjusting specific PTO parameters in the coordinator. For vehicles with TMS, the procedure is different because the control is done through the BWE instead of the COO7.

Step-by-Step PTO EG1 Activation Procedure

1. Launch SDP3 in Conversion Mode
   Open SDP3 and switch to Conversion mode from the main interface.
2. Save the Original SOPS File
   In the top-left corner, click File → Save SOPS File and save the current SOPS configuration as a backup before making any changes.
3. Open the SOPS File in Scania SOPS Editor
   Start Scania SOPS Editor, click Open SOPS File, and load the SOPS file you just exported from SDP3.
4. Go to the SOPS Tab
   Once the file is loaded, open the SOPS Tab inside the editor to access all configurable parameters.
5. Search for PTO EG Parameters
   Use the search bar and type “PTO EG” or “PTO EG1” to filter the relevant parameters for the EG PTO function in COO7.
