PTO EG1 — parking brake dependency

SOPS parameter PTO_EG1_PBRAKE_DEP · seen in 70 SOPS files

What it controls

Tells the coordinator whether the EG1 power take-off may only be engaged while the parking brake is applied. Most stationary applications (cranes, tail-lifts, compactors) use this dependency as a safety interlock, so the PTO cannot be engaged with the vehicle free to roll. Mobile applications such as spreaders, sweepers or concrete mixers need the PTO to run while driving and must have the dependency removed, otherwise the PTO drops out the moment the driver releases the parking brake. When the customer reports that the PTO disengages as soon as the truck moves, this is the parameter to look at first, together with the vehicle-speed deactivation windows.

Possible values

Withoutseen in 70 files
No parking-brake condition — the PTO can be engaged and stays engaged while driving.
With
Parking brake must be applied to engage the PTO; releasing it disengages the PTO.

Frequently asked

Either the parking-brake dependency is set to With, or a vehicle-speed deactivation window is active. For mobile PTO use, both need to allow driving.
