What it controls
Engine speed above which the coordinator automatically disengages the EG1 power take-off. It protects hydraulic pumps and compressors that have a maximum input speed: if the driver revs the engine beyond the limit, the PTO drops out and the switch lamp goes off, which is a common source of the complaint “the PTO switches off by itself”. Set it a safe margin above the working speed of the equipment (the pump manufacturer states the maximum) and above any raised idle or engine-speed control set point used with the PTO, otherwise the PTO will cut out during normal operation. Without disables the protection entirely.
